Poetry, Rhymed – first place was won by Sharon Frye with Sea Glass, second place by Jim Arnold for his piece Korea 1953, and third place was won by Marsha Kay Oldham with Red and Granny.
Poetry, Unrhymed – first place was tied between Marsha Kay Oldham for Memories in Scarlet Hues, and Chantell Tiatrakul for He Plays or Val’s Violin, second place was tied between Ruth Poovey for Life Happening and Morgan Knapp for Dancing Fahrenheit, and third place was won by Sharon Frye for Trip to the Cemetery.
Inspirational Article – first place was won by Marsha Kay Oldham for Letter from a Mother’s Heart, second place was won by Chantell Tiatrakul for Getting it Right, and third place by Martha Draper for From This Day Forward.
Humor category – first place went to Martha Draper for Taking Millie to the Doctor, second place to Ruth Poovey for Tales from the Nursing Home, and third place to Jim Arnold for 16 Years Old.
Other contest categories received less than three entries therefore, no prize could be awarded.
