The monthly meeting of the Enid Writers Club will be held on Thursday November 7, 2024, 6:30 pm in room 124 at NWOSU, Randolph and 30th street. We are 102 years old this year, the oldest writing club in the state of Oklahoma, and we meet the first Thursday of each month, September through May. The Enid Writers Club is open to all who aspire to improve their writing and join with like minds. All skill levels and age groups are welcome. There will be no program this month, tell us what you are writing! Roll Call topic will be “That Darn Thing Won’t Start.” If you are not a member and would like to see what we do, please come visit us. We normally have a monthly speaker, a Christmas party in December, a writing contest in the spring, and an annual banquet. We, along with St. Matthews Episcopal Church, will host a $1000 writing scholarship contest open to high school seniors going on to some form of higher education. It is open to Grant, Garfield, and Major counties and takes place in January. Ask us about it. Come join us!
